Studio Myo

Studio Myo is an artist co-op dreamed up by Dallas Nagata and Gabriel Yanagihara. Two artists, living together – why not work together as well? And so, Studio Myo (pronouced Mee-oh) was born. They created a DeviantArt account, and uploaded a few stock and commercial design images, but soon got distracted by other things.

A year went by, and KawaiiKon 2009 was coming up. Dallas, Gabe, and Sarah had attended the previous KawaiiKon Artist’s Alley as “The Maui Bento Box”, but Dallas and Gabe decided to invite Sarah into Studio Myo as an Associate Member so their table could be represented by their unique name. They also invited Appi Yashiro to their table to sell her adorable felt creations. Kaeo is represents the video/web/design side of Studio Myo, and while he won’t be selling his creations at the convention, he is still a valuable member of the group.

The original Studio Myo logo has a white fox as its mascot. However, Dallas and Gabe are now the proud parents of a young female Japanese Spitz puppy named Kodachrome, and she is their new mascot.

Or, everyone will just play with her all day. Either way, it all works out.
